Princeton University Launches Search for Missing 23-Year-Old Student LAUREN BLACKBURN

Princeton University and its Department of Public Safety are actively searching for LAUREN BLACKBURN, a 23-year-old student who went missing on April 19. BLACKBURN was last seen near the Firestone Library on campus around 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.

LAUREN BLACKBURN, a former staff writer for The Daily Princetonian, the university’s student newspaper, is described as 6-foot-2, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with tears in the knees, a yellow T-shirt, and a black, zippered hooded sweatshirt.

In an email to students, Vice President for Student Life W. ROCHELLE CALHOUN expressed concern and urged the community to keep BLACKBURN in their thoughts. “We will share an update when we know more,” she wrote, according to The Daily Princetonian.

Authorities have reportedly focused their search near Lake Carnegie after a missing person’s phone was detected pinging in the area, as reported by WPVI.

BLACKBURN, a standout high school student from Indiana, was one of 2,500 students selected for the National Merit Scholarship in 2019 before enrolling at Princeton. His former English teacher, KATE ROBINSON of Corydon Central High School, described him as having a remarkable memory. “He can read a book and know everything in it. I’m pretty sure he has a photographic memory,” she told WAVE.

Princeton University’s Department of Public Safety is urging anyone with information about LAUREN BLACKBURN’s whereabouts to contact them at (609) 258-1000.

Fox News Digital reached out to Princeton University for updates on the search but has not yet received a response.
