Federal Agents Hunt for Armed Robbers After Daylight Armored Truck Heist in Chicago Area

Federal agents are actively searching for a group of men accused of robbing an armored truck at gunpoint outside a Chicago-area bank in broad daylight. The incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday in Blue Island, Illinois, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in Chicago.

THREE MEN, believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, were captured in photos carrying handguns and pointing them at the vehicle. The suspects, dressed in dark clothing, gloves, and black face coverings, fled the scene in a car and remain at large as of Sunday afternoon, the FBI reported.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crime to come forward. Tips can be reported at 312-421-6700 or through the FBI’s online tip portal at tips.fbi.gov.

This brazen robbery has heightened concerns about public safety in the area, as law enforcement continues their efforts to apprehend the suspects.
