EXCLUSIVE: NY AG LETITIA JAMES FACES MORTGAGE FRAUD ALLEGATIONS, EXPOSED BY FORMER SCAM ARTIST SAM ANTAR

New York Attorney General LETITIA JAMES, known for her high-profile legal battles against former President Donald Trump, now faces allegations of mortgage fraud herself. The claims have been brought to light by SAM ANTAR, a reformed fraudster who once collaborated with his cousin, CRAZY EDDIE ANTAR, in one of the most infamous financial scams of the 1980s.

SAM ANTAR, who reinvented himself as a white-collar fraud investigator after serving time for his role in the Crazy Eddie scandal, claims to have uncovered irregularities in LETITIA JAMES’ real estate filings. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Antar stated, “I know every trick in the fraud book, and I smell a rat in James’ documents.”

Antar’s findings, which he published on his website White Collar Fraud, prompted the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to investigate and issue a criminal referral to the Justice Department. The referral alleges that James misrepresented her financial status to secure favorable mortgage terms.

“I took all kinds of risks doing this—retaliation, libel, reputational risk. But I stand by everything,” Antar said. “This is not about Trump. I’m not working for the government. I investigated Tish James because that’s what I do.”

### Key Allegations Against LETITIA JAMES

1. **Virginia Property**: The FHFA’s criminal referral highlights a property in Norfolk, Virginia, which James allegedly claimed as her principal residence in 2023 despite holding public office in New York. Antar said James secured a mortgage under favorable terms by declaring the property her primary residence, which would disqualify her from holding office in New York. James’ office denies the claim, stating she has always been clear about residing in New York.

2. **Brooklyn Property**: James is accused of misrepresenting a Brooklyn property as a four-unit dwelling when it was legally classified as five units. This allegedly allowed her to secure a conforming loan and mortgage assistance under the Home Affordable Modification Program. Her lawyers argue the property has always functioned as a four-unit residence.

3. **Queens Mortgages**: James is alleged to have falsely listed her father as her husband on mortgage applications in 1983 and 2000. While her attorneys claim this was a clerical error, the FHFA asserts it raises serious concerns about the validity of her representations.

### James’ Response

LETITIA JAMES has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them a “revenge tour” orchestrated by Donald Trump following her successful $454 million civil fraud lawsuit against him. Her attorney, ABBE LOWELL, accused the FHFA of cherry-picking evidence and emphasized that any discrepancies were unintentional.

### SAM ANTAR’s Credibility

Once a key figure in the Crazy Eddie fraud, Antar has since become a respected fraud investigator, working with government agencies and law firms. He insists his investigation into James was independent and meticulously documented. “I did this on my own time, my own dime,” he said. “I stand by everything I did.”

### What’s Next?

The Justice Department is reviewing the FHFA’s criminal referral. Meanwhile, Antar continues to advocate for accountability, stating, “If they fail to convict her, it’s their humiliation and their embarrassment.”
