17-YEAR-OLD STABBING SUSPECT MOVED TO UNDISCLOSED LOCATION AMID SAFETY CONCERNS

The 17-year-old accused of fatally stabbing Frisco, Texas track star AUSTIN METCALF has been relocated to an undisclosed location for his safety, according to a family representative. The Next Generation Action Network (NGAN) confirmed that KARMELO ANTHONY was moved from his home following a surge in death threats, harassment, and physical intimidation targeting his family.

Anthony, charged with first-degree murder, allegedly killed Metcalf during a high school track meet on April 2 over a seating dispute. After his bond was reduced from $1 million to $250,000 last week, Anthony was released from Collin County Jail.

NGAN detailed the threats faced by the Anthony family, including individuals loitering near their residence, unwanted food deliveries, and the disturbing mailing of Metcalf’s obituary. In a statement, the group said, “We are sharing images and documentation of the threats to make the public aware of the dangerous atmosphere fueled by organized hate, systemic racism, and intentional misinformation.”

DOMINIQUE ALEXANDER, president of NGAN, expressed outrage over the situation, stating, “No family should have to live under siege simply because they are demanding their constitutional rights. We are committed to protecting this family and ensuring justice is pursued without intimidation or fear.”

The Frisco Police Department told Fox News Digital that they have no reported cases involving threats against the Anthony family. Last week, Alexander held a press conference where Anthony’s mother, KAYLA HAYES, spoke publicly for the first time since her son’s arrest. JEFF METCALF, Austin’s father, attempted to attend the event but was removed by Dallas police.

Alexander criticized Jeff Metcalf’s presence, stating, “What we’ve seen at the beginning of this press conference is a disrespect to the dignity of his son.” He emphasized NGAN’s commitment to respecting the loss of life while advocating for Anthony’s rights. Alexander also highlighted racial dynamics, asserting, “He should be afforded the same rights as KYLE RITTENHOUSE and others who have claimed self-defense.”

Over the weekend, a “Protect White Americans” rally was held in Frisco, hosted by JAKE LANG, a Florida man running for U.S. Senate after his involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Lang was reportedly admonished by Jeff Metcalf during the rally for exacerbating racial divides.

Jeff Metcalf has urged against politicizing the tragedy, stating, “This was not a race thing. This is not a political thing. Do not politicize this. This person made a bad choice and affected both his family and my family forever.”

According to the arrest report, Anthony confessed to stabbing Metcalf when apprehended by a school resource officer. Anthony reportedly asked if Metcalf would be okay and questioned whether the incident could be considered self-defense.
